Bathroom refresh
One pro swaps the vanity, toilet, mirror, and lights so the bathroom feels new without moving walls.
What this job involves
This is the bathroom update that does not touch the tub or the walls. The old vanity, toilet, mirror, and light come out. The new vanity and faucet go in, the new toilet is set, and the mirror and light are hung. A licensed plumber handles the water connections, and a licensed electrician handles the light if the box moves. Old homes often show water damage behind the vanity once it is out.
What to have ready
- The new vanity, faucet, toilet, mirror, and light on hand
- Photos of the whole bathroom
- The width of the vanity space
- Where the water shutoffs are
- Whether you want paint done at the same time
What a fair price looks like
Most homeowners in our area pay between $900 and $2,200 for this job. Labor with fixtures supplied by the homeowner. A licensed plumber is required. Painting is a separate job.
This is a range to help you judge a quote, not a quote. The pro you are matched with gives you their own price, in writing for anything over $1,000, and you pay them directly. We charge the pro a small flat fee only after the job is done. We never ask you for payment.
What a good pro will ask you first
- Which items are being replaced?
- Are all the new pieces here?
- Is the light staying in the same spot?
- Do you want the floor done too?
Why we only send a licensed plumbing pro
Illinois licenses plumbers statewide, and the law covers repairs and fixture swaps, not just new construction. Every plumbing request on this site goes only to a pro whose state license and contractor registration we have checked.
