Carpenter Next Door

Honey do list

One pro works through your list of small fixes in a single visit.

Half a day on site

What this job involves

This is for the pile of small things: a sticking door, a loose towel bar, a dripping cabinet hinge, a wobbly chair, a drawer that fell apart. You write the list and the pro works through it in order of what matters most. The pro brings common parts and tools. Anything that needs a licensed plumber or electrician is noted and set up as its own request. A list that is longer than one visit is split into two.

What to have ready

  • Your written list, most important first
  • Photos of each item
  • Any parts you already bought
  • Whether you have leftover paint or matching screws

What a fair price looks like

Most homeowners in our area pay between $200 and $500 for this job. Labor for a half day with common parts included. Plumbing and electrical items are separate licensed trade requests.

This is a range to help you judge a quote, not a quote. The pro you are matched with gives you their own price, in writing for anything over $1,000, and you pay them directly. We charge the pro a small flat fee only after the job is done. We never ask you for payment.

What a good pro will ask you first

  • What is on the list?
  • Which items matter most?
  • Do you have the parts for any of them?
  • Are any of them plumbing or electrical?
